For something a little more active, follow the coast path out of the village or walk towards South Milton Sands. On another day, Salcombe and Kingsbridge are both within easy reach by car.
Hope Cove can become busy in the summer, so it is always sensible to book meals ahead and check current opening times. The joy of staying at Alberni is that once you are there, so much of the village can be enjoyed on foot.
