2. Other terms that may apply
2.1 These Website Terms of Use govern your general use of the Website. They are not the contract for a holiday booking.
2.2 Direct bookings are governed by our Booking Terms and Conditions at https://quaylets.co.uk/booking-terms-and-conditions/, together with the Booking Confirmation, relevant property description and any property-specific House Rules.
2.3 Our use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy at https://quaylets.co.uk/privacy-policy/. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy at https://quaylets.co.uk/cookie-policy-uk/.

3. Using the Website
3.1 You may use the Website for lawful personal or business purposes, including viewing properties, making enquiries, submitting information through our forms and accessing our booking service.
3.2 You must not:
- misuse, damage, disrupt or interfere with the Website or its security;
- introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its server or connected systems;
- use automated methods to extract substantial amounts of Website content without our written permission; or
- use the Website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent or infringes another person's rights.
3.3 We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Website, its users or our systems, or where these terms are materially breached.
4. Website information
4.1 We take reasonable care to keep Website information accurate and current. Property information, prices, availability, photographs and local information may nevertheless change, and occasional errors may occur.
4.2 Information shown on the Website is general information until it is incorporated into a confirmed booking. Before booking, you should check the property details, price, dates, occupancy, accessibility, pet arrangements and anything else important to your stay.
4.3 If there is a difference between general Website content and a Booking Confirmation, please contact us promptly. The documents forming the confirmed booking contract will determine the agreed booking, subject to your statutory rights.
4.4 Blog posts, guides and local recommendations are provided for general information. Opening times, transport, attractions and third-party services should be checked directly with the relevant provider before relying on them.
5. Bookings and enquiries
5.1 Submitting an enquiry, availability search or booking request does not by itself create a confirmed booking. A direct booking becomes binding only as described in our Booking Terms and Conditions.
5.2 Our direct-booking service may be provided through Hostfully, and payments may be processed through Stripe. Those providers may also have their own terms and privacy information where applicable.
5.3 When you submit a form, you must provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and must not impersonate another person.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 Unless stated otherwise, the Website and its content—including its text, branding, layout, graphics, photographs and videos—belong to us, the relevant property owner or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law.
6.2 You may view the Website, share links to its public pages, and print or download reasonable extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use.
6.3 You must not reproduce, republish, sell, commercially exploit, alter or remove ownership notices from Website content without the prior permission of the relevant rights holder.
7. Links and third-party services
7.1 The Website may link to or display services operated by third parties. Links are provided for convenience and do not mean that we control or endorse everything on those websites.
7.2 We are not responsible for the content or availability of a third-party website. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
7.3 You may link fairly and lawfully to a public page on our Website, provided the link does not suggest an association or endorsement that does not exist and does not damage our reputation.
8. Website availability and security
8.1 We aim to keep the Website available and secure, but we do not promise that access will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the Website for maintenance, security, operational or other reasonable reasons.
8.2 You are responsible for using appropriate security protection on your own devices and for ensuring that anyone accessing the Website through your connection understands these terms.
9. Our responsibility
9.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
9.2 If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by that failure or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was brought to our attention beforehand.
9.3 We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, your misuse of the Website, or your reliance on third-party information that we do not control.
9.4 If you use the Website for a commercial or business purpose, we are not responsible for loss of profit, business, revenue, anticipated savings, data, goodwill or business opportunity arising from your general use of the Website. This does not alter any liability separately agreed for a permitted commercial booking.
10. Personal information

12.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
12.2 If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts applicable to your UK residence where consumer law permits. If you use the Website wholly for business purposes, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
